Mole Control

Have you noticed that something is tunneling through your yard or gardens. You have MOLES! The damage done to your turf and plants can be costly. Moles do not kill the plants in your yard, but they will destroy your yard and gardens looking for grubs, beetles and worms. The reason they are so active is because they consume 70-100% of their body weight each day.

Moles can live 3 or 4 years, they are mostly loners, but do come together to breed. This gives them plenty of time to do significant damage, continuously to your yard and gardens.

Four Methods of Control

Poison – Baiting worms with strychnine is effective; however, it needs to be performed by a professional. As this is an extremely hazardous method to children, other animals and birds.

Gas – Gas Pellets of soluble aluminium phosphide can be placed in the mole runs. But the moles can travel away from the smoke as it does not travel far, especially in damp soil.

Trapping – Trapping is the most effective method of control. With three types of traps available, you can chose a method that works best for your yard. But keep in mind, this will require handling a live or dead mole.

Molexit – Molexit is a special repellent for these creatures that has worked well for clients. It is safe and easy to use. It is completely biodegradable. Molexit is a non-hazardous. It is an environmentally friendly method.

This product is made out of castor oil and has been proven to be effective by the University of Kentucky in reducing moles and their damage. Invented in 1996 by Bruce Evans and after successful test marketing at garden shows, he established 15 dealers in the local area.

Molexit is a time released mole pesticide that is safe and keeps working when other castor oil based pesticides wear out. The Kentucky Department of Forestry agreed to test the product in 2002 and found that 80% of the treated areas had no mole activity for 4-6 weeks.

If your neighbors have moles and you have not seen signs of moles in your yard or gardens, now is the time to take action so they do not invade your lawn. Treat your yard and gardens with Molexit in order to keep them out.

One application covers up to 10,000 sq. ft. Be sure to follow the instructions that come with the product.
